Oldham Receives Grants!!!   |   Friday, August 26, 2011

The Oldham Project just received two major grants for our Kourageous Kids program and we are thrilled at the support from our community! This week, we were awarded $5000 from Jackson National towards promotion and support of our Kourageous Kids programming...we will now be able to offer so much more to so many more families. We have plans to promote the program by bringing a public awareness to these children through billboards with their portraits! We will also be able to provide each child an actual 11 x 14 portrait of themselves and more goodies in the bags already, generously filled by members of our community with coloring books, crayons, markers, bubbles, clothing, card games, cupcake certificates, passes for the Potter Park Zoo and more! We are so thankful for the support of our community and the local hospitals. Great Lakes Cancer Institute has generously offered $1000 to pay for each child to have a Kourageous Kids t-shirt! And finally, Sparrow Hospital and 5 Pediatric physicians have given us $5000 towards the marketing and support of this program for children. We are impacting families all over the mid-Michigan area and now have photographers in some other cities ready to join our cause as the calls come from out lying areas in Michigan!
Thank you Lansing for your support!!
