We grieve with Heather's family....   |   Tuesday, September 6, 2011

Heather was a powerful force to be reckoned with. She fought cancer with everything she had, with grace, dignity, courage and BOLDNESS. She fought a vicious leukemia for a couple years, undergoing a much needed bone marrow transplant from her brother. But, this weekend, she entered the gates of Heaven with the boldness and courage she lived. She was only 27 years old and leaves behind a small son, age 6 and a devoted fiance, Tommy. She had big dreams and goals, but her son was the most important thing in her life. She so wanted to watch him grow up. Even after her transplant, she fought to secure an early release to watch him get on the bus for the first time, going off to kindergarten.
She attended our Gala this past winter, having a great time, meeting other BOLD women, having photos taken with our celebrity guest, TJ Duckett and having a great time with friends. She was full of life and exuded positive attitude. She was a huge advocate of The Oldham Project and what we're trying to accomplish!
We now grieve with her family, mother, son and fiance. She was much loved and touched so many lives. She will be missed, but her legacy, attitude and love will live on.

Heather was the best friend I've ever know. She was such a strong woman and we looked up to each other for support, advice, and to share our dreams. I hadn't imagined she'd be out of my life but I'm happy she suffers no more.
Her strength will forever change my life, and I hope that we can all learn from her optimism. This is not what she wanted for herself or her family, but we can't choose our lot in life. God has bigger plans for her in heaven and I'm glad to have one of the most beautiful guardian angels Heaven has ever seen.
God Bless Ms. Heather Allen
Love,
Your Sarah

Heather was an amazing person inside and out. One of the most caring, courageous, and beautiful person I knew. She touched so many lives....just by being herself! There was nothing artificial about Heather at all, and I loved her for that. She was (and still is) that one person whom you could always count on, and yet not want anything in return. Heather has had such a huge impact on me, my views on life...love....happiness, and standing up for what you believe. She definitely did just that, fighting with everything she had for her family and friends. Well Heather, no need to fight anymore...the Lord needed you, and you are no our beautiful guardian angel looking down on us protecting u from above. I aso want to thank you for taking the time to care about me and Allyssa....you will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts! I love you Heather<3

We love you Heather and will never forget the lessons you taught us all. The world is a darker, sadder place without your light in it.
